Dennis Harper is an artist living in Auburn, Alabama, who specializes in egg tempera painting. His art can be found in the collections of Michael Stipe (Athens), Rickey Medlock (Little Rock), David Sandlin (New York), Matt Houston (Seattle), Ryuichiro Mizushima (Tokyo), and elsewhere. Additionally, Harper serves as curator of collections and exhibitions at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University. Previously curator of exhibitions at the Georgia Museum of Art, he also taught at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia and in Cortona, Italy, and collaborated on several fresco and other mural conservation projects.
